Locks & Locks of Rain

Up at 6:30 to catch the lock opening at 0700.  And yes, for you Doubting Thomas's, Deb is on this trip.  We motored at 6 knots all day.  It rained until 1400.  We had the great pleasure of going by and waving to Lila by the Clyde Bridge.

We had 0 lift bridges, but seven locks.  We are a finely tuned team now.  We averaged less than fifteen minutes per lock and made it to Baldwinsville a whopping three hours ahead of our ETA.

We had to make this unexpected stop because Deb forgot to pick up Don's antibiotics and he was running out.  He had chewed up his hand in the windlass six weeks previously and one finger wasn't healing well

We docked at the wall just before Lock 24.  Our earlier than expected landfall meant that we were able to meet Linda, Chris, Bethany, Devin and Sydney for dinner.  We spent the night at Fred and Linda's where she let us do laundry and then fed us a delicious breakfast.  Poor Linda thought SHE was going to get a break while Fred was gone, not unexpected guests. - Deb
