November 3, 2017 - Halfway to Virgin Gorda

Denise Sandison sent me a position update this morning.  At 11:00 p.m. last night, their coordinates were 26.69N, 63.54 W.

At 11:00 a.m. today, their coordinates are 25.40N, 63.26W.  They are all well and had their most pleasant day yet yesterday.  They do have some bouncy seas due to a NE-E swell that is supposed to subside by tomorrow night.

They are halfway there and expect to arrive in Virgin Gorda Monday night or Tuesday morning.  At this point, it is forecast to be cloudy and rainy then.

The offshore forecast is still good.  East winds from 5-15 mph and waves at 3-5 feet.

They have broken off the remote microphone that is in the cockpit and used to call on the ship-to-shore radis.  They can still call from down in the cabin but I will try to get the parts for the remote microphone.

That's it for today.
